I hated the in game design of Jensen in DE:HR, the way the camera worked he ended up looking like a black brick with sunglasses most of the time, rather than a sleek cyber organic design like you see in some of the promo art. I also thought is was kind of a cop out or significantly missed opportunity that most of Jensen’s augmentations were so easily hidden, as opposed to the Russian who had this goat-like appearance to her legs that made her immediately identifiable as an Aug. In the story, Jensen is augmented against his will, and the visual reminder of this in the game would have had a much more profound psychological impact on me as a player, that he was forced to not only be less human, but also look less human to everyone he met.
Well, he does have sunglasses embedded in his face. That’s distinctly inhuman. Heh.
I totally agree about the brick thing though, his proportions are kind of awkward. The characters in general are stylized in a way that doesn’t work for me 100% of the time.
